Last week, Sweethearts & Heroes presented a powerful assembly about supporting others, reducing bullying, and what it truly means to be different. With messages of superheroes, what it actually means to be a sweetheart, students walked away with new knowledge and a way of thinking when it comes to interacting with their peers and adults. The following day, Sweethearts & Heroes came back to do circle work with groups of students and staff. It was a more in depth way to understand the concepts from the assembly, and create conversations between students and staff, too.
